Director Dharanidharan’s next that has Metro Shirish and Pooja Devariya in the lead is titled as ‘Raja Ranguski’. The shoot will commence from 2nd January.

The creator of the critically acclaimed films ‘Burma’ and ‘Jackson Durai’ - Director Dharanidharan and ‘Metro’ fame Shirish has teamed up for a Murder Mystery project,  which has now earned the title ‘Raja Ranguski’. With a traditional Pooja, the film ‘Raja Ranguski’ that has Pooja Devariya in the female lead entered into the books of the films that are promising for the year 2017. The film festival a gigantic proposition with   Music Director Yuvanshankar Raja as a composer. Popular Director Gautham VasuDev Menon tweeted the title of this film, aptly so since the genre of " Raja Ranguski" is much similar to the crime thrillers of GVM.

BAASHHA (Digitally upgraded) impressed the ‘Superstar’ Rajnikanth

Sathya Movies, one of the most renowned and prestigious Production houses in Tamil Film Industry has now completed their successful 50th Anniversary. The completion of their Golden Jubilee is celebrated widely with the Audience by the release of digitally remastered version of the evergreen classic cult BAASHHA. This tremendous initiative has been taken by Thangaraj (Son of RM Veerappan),who has met Superstar Rajnikanth recently. 

The excellent 5.1 sound works of Lakshmi Narayanan and the innovative post production lab works acts as a major backbone for the remastered version.

“Rajni sir had seen the trailer and he liked it. He asked whether RM Veerappan sir was behind this idea and I responded that it was me…..I explained to Rajni sir what was done technically, and he was extremely delighted to hear the way Deva sir has rescored the entire film.  Rajni sir has narrated to us anecdotes about RM Veerappan sir’s strength in modifying BAASHHA, and explained how RM Veerappan sir had geniusly  handled a mass hero and in making the movie successful….

He offered insights on how to ensure that people enjoy the digitally remastered  movie and share the new experiences with others so that the message gets out. He also inquired  about the release schedule and was informed about the red carpet premier event, charity show in London and fans visit from Japan. He was very supportive of the efforts and gave his blessings for the success of the film's theater release….” states one of the Producers Mr.Thangaraj of Sathya Movies, who is overseeing the digitization efforts.

Sharwanand - Dil Raju's 'Shatamanam Bhavathi' censor complete.

Dil Raju and Sri Venkateswara Creations' 'Shatamanam Bhavathi', with Sharwanand and Anupama Parameshwaran in lead roles, is all set for a Sankranthi 2017 release. The movie has completed its censor formalities today in Hyderabad and the film has received a clean U from the board. 

"Shathamanam Bhavathi is a beautiful family entertainer that explores the relationship between a grandfather and his grandson. Mickey has given excellent tunes and the audio has become a big hit. The film will have a Pongal release. Shathamanam Bhavathi is going to be a wholesome family entertainer for the festive season and we expect the film to bring our banner as much fame as Bommarillu did", said producer Dil Raju.  

Shatamanam Bhavathi will have Sharwanand in the lead role and Anupama Parameshwaran will be seen as the heroine. Satish Vegesna is the director. Prakash Raj andJayasudha are playing key roles.

 Balakrishna’s 100th film Gautami Putra Satakarni is releasing on Jan 12,2017 in a grand manner offering sankranti treat. Filmmakers celebrated the film’s audio tuned by Chirantan Bhatt today in the temple town of Tirupati in the presence of AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu and Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu. Speaking at the function director Krish shared Satakarni’s shocking secrets. He said it was the misfortune of Telugu people for not knowing about great Telugu king Gautami Putra Stakarni while people across the world worship Satakarni. He said his friends in Maharashtra told him that Chatrapati Sivaji’s mother Jijiyabati trained her son inspiring about Gautami Putra Satakarni. He told even his Tamilian friends, revere Satakarni as their own king. He told foreigners too revere Satakarni. He revealed that London has museum on Amaravathi and that shows the greatness of Satakarni who ruled entire India with Amaravathi as capital. He felt had Satakarni been a foreign ruler, by this time many films would have come in Hollywood and many would have won Oscars.

Venkaiah talks about fleeting fame for Gen X heroes

 People are left wondering whether Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu insulted genex heroes while speaking at the audio launch of Natasimha Balakrishna’s 100th film Gautami Putra Satakarni. Venkaiah Naidu speaking at the function said in the olden days heroes used to be permanent like NTR,ANR and Sivaji Ganeshan and people used to remember them for years. He said people fail to remember genex heroes with each passing day. He then went on to add that under these circumstances he is happy to hear that Balakrishna’s film Legend completed 1000 days. People are now discussing how fans of other stars will react and whether Venkaiah really praised Balakrishna.

Superstar Rajinikanth compliments Hrithik Roshan and Balam

Superstar Rajinikanth and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan go a long way. Their association was cemented with the 1986 film "Bhagwaan Dada" that was directed by Hrithik Roshan's maternal grandfather J Om Prakash and produced by Rakesh Roshan .  It was a film in which Hrithik, who was 12 then, had his first speaking part.

Over the last three decades Rakesh and Rajini have stayed in touch.  As has been a practice for the last 30 odd-years, this year too the Bollywood filmmaker called the Tamil superstar to wish him on his birthday(December 12).  Rajini thanked him for his good wishes.  In turn, he also paid Hrithik a compliment.  Said he, ``I have watched the Tamil ,Hindi and Telugu trailers of Kaabil  and I simply loved it.  I also think Hrithik is stupendous. Please tell him that I am eagerly awaiting the film.'' Kaabil is titled Balam in Telugu and Tamil . Rajinikanth also praised Rajesh Roshan for the music after having watched Kaabil Hoon and Haseeno ka Deewana songs.

Rakesh Roshan was overwhelmed with the compliment, as was Hrithik when he heard that the praise had come from the man himself. The second trailer of the film in which Hrithik teams up with Yami Gautam is out now. Kaabil is an incredible love story with immense emotion and mind boggling action in which Hrithik Roshan and his love interest Yami Gautam are playing a visually impaired (blind) couple. 

 Kaabil is directed by Sanjay Gupta and will release on Jan 25th 2017.

'பண பட்டுவாடா'   என்னும் அந்த  சூழ்நிலையை அறியாதவர்கள் யாரும் இருக்க மாட்டார்கள்.... திடீரென்று  கோடி கோடியாய் பணம் மக்களின் வாக்குகளை விலை கொடுத்து வாங்குவதற்கு புரள தொடங்கி விடும்.... அத்தகைய பணத்தை நான்கு சராசரி இளைஞர்கள் கொள்ளை அடித்துவிட்டால் நிலைமை எப்படி இருக்கும் என்பதை யதார்த்தமாக உணர்த்த வருகிறது, இயக்குனர் சிகரம் பாலுமகேந்திராவின் சீடர் ஸ்ரீகண்டன் இயக்கி இருக்கும் 'தப்பு தண்டா' திரைப்படம். 

'கிளாப்போர்டு புரொடக்ஷன்' சார்பில் சத்யமூர்த்தி தயாரித்து இருக்கும் 'தப்பு தண்டா' படத்தில் சத்யா - சுவேதா கய் முன்னணி கதாபாத்திரங்களிலும், மைம் கோபி, ஜான் விஜய், அஜய் கோஷ், ஈ ராமதாஸ், மெட்ராஸ் ரவி, மகேந்திரன், நாகா, சஞ்சீவி, அஷ்மிதா பிரியா, ஜீவா ரவி மற்றும் ஆத்மா ஆகியோர் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களிலும் நடித்துள்ளனர். நகைச்சுவை - கிரைம் கலந்த திகில் திரைப்படமாக உருவெடுத்து இருக்கும் 'தப்பு தண்டா' படத்தில் ஒளிப்பதிவாளர் அ வினோத் பாரதி (நெருங்கி வா முத்தமிடாதே), இசையமைப்பாளர் நரேன் பாலகுமார், படத்தொகுப்பாளர் எஸ் பி ராஜா சேதுபதி (சதுரங்க வேட்டை) மற்றும் கலை இயக்குனர் பி சிவசங்கர் என பல வலுவான தொழில்நுட்ப கலைஞர்கள் பணியாற்றி இருப்பது மேலும் சிறப்பு.

Wherever the election takes place, there is a certain happening that happens habitually all over the country. A huge amount of money will be travelling across the nation in order to earn (bribe) the votes from Public. What happens if that lump of money is looted by four ordinary youngsters? The answer will be revealed by the upcoming Dark - Comical - Crime - Thriller ‘Thappu Thanda’ that is directed by debutante Srikantan, the disciple of Veteran filmmaker Balumahendra. 

Produced by Sathyamurthi under the banner ‘Clapboard Production’, the film ‘Thappu Thanda’ has Sathya - Shweta Gai in the lead and Mime Gopi, John Vijay, Ajay Ghosh, E Ramdoss, Madras Ravi, Mahendran, Naga, Snajeevi, Ashmita Priya, Jiva Ravi and Aatma in the pivotal roles. It is to be noted that the ‘Three - Plot’ story is well backed up by a bunch of talented technicians that includes Cinematographer A Vinod Bharathi (Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe), Music Director Naren Balakumar, Editor S P Raja Sethupathi (Sathuranga Vettai) and Art Director B Siva Sankar.    

“Our ‘Thappu Thanda’ is a three - plot story. First plot will revolve around Election, Second plot will revolve around four ordinary robbing trainees and the third plot speaks about the love bond of Heroine and her boyfriend…To be very simple, first half will be Dark - Comedy and the second half will be Crime -Thriller. 

John Vijay Sir’s character is the main highlight of our film. For the very first time, he runs an exclusive university for robbing….He collects resume from several youngsters and train them step - by - step in Robbery. Likewise Ajay Ghosh sir has acted in a very crucial role and his character will take our film to differnet dimensions. After ‘Visaaranai’, his role in our film will earn huge appreciations. 

Our Hero cum Producer Sathyamurthi who hailed from ‘Koothu Pattarai’ has done justice for the role…. We are pretty sure that our ‘Thappu Thanda’ will stand out of the box from other Dark - Comical - Crime - Thriller films…” says Director Srikantan in a confident tone.

Gaurav Gill primed for a wet APRC Rally

 With the onset of monsoon in this region, Team MRF’s Gaurav Gill, who needs a win here in the Malaysian Rally to seal the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship title, cautioned that the weather could hold the key to the outcome and “fireworks” of a different kind can be expected this Diwali weekend.

The two-day Rally commencing tomorrow, is the fifth and penultimate round of the FIA APRC and Gill, having won the previous four rallies, is poised to annex the title that he had last won in 2013. The sixth and concluding round will be held in Chikkamagaluru, India, on Dec 3-5.

Delhi-based Gill, speaking at

​the

 pre-event press conference here today to the accompaniment of thunder and heavy rains, opined that the wet weather will put to test the durability of both crews and their cars over the next two days.

Thursday’s mandatory reconnaissance run was all but a washout as portions of some Special Stages in the nearby palm oil plantations turned into mini rivers and unmotorable.

“Diwali is a big festival for us back home in India, but for me, the fireworks can wait until the Rally is over on Sunday afternoon. I wish everyone a happy and safe Diwali, and a prosperous year ahead,” said Gill who, like his team-mate Fabian Kreim of Germany, is driving the MRF Skoda Fabia ​R5.

On a more serious note, Gill, who leads Kreim by 42 points in the Championship,

​said

: “It is going to be very tricky and difficult going since lots of rain is forecast for this weekend. So, it is not about just speed. We have to be careful.

“We have made a few changes to the car. After the Rally Hokkaido in Japan, we changed the engine and it still needs to be run in some more. We did some testing here on Wednesday and then today’s Shakedown, but we are settling in nicely.”

Kreim, fresh from winning the German championship last weekend, was as cautious and agreed that the Rally will not be so much about speed as driving sensibly.

“I have a very good feeling about our car after the test and we hope we can be as quick as Gaurav. Our car is better than what it was in the previous round in Japan. It is hot and the humidity is quite high. It is a different rally than all other APRC rounds and I think, it will be very challenging,” said Kreim.
