Gender shouldn’t be a barrier for entering the industry”: Debut Heroine Dr.Maya

 Dr.Maya , Heroine of 'Jinn'  holds no mystery about her  debut film which is said to be in horror as well as humour.   Graduated as a dentist this pretty girl with a mesmerizing smile  dreams to be a “Performer“. She wants to be a family charm than preferring glamour roles.  The charming little actress takes a break for her passion from profession . “Being a first generation actor in my family, it is challenging for me in the industry” she says.

She dreams to be an art in A.R.Murugadoss movies soon. " 'kalpana' of Ghajini is my inspiration. ever since then ,i  had become an ardent fan of  Surya sir, my wildest dream is to be paired opposite him.

Genelia being her role model in life, the actress makes a positive approach in taking up her career in this industry. “ She had actually played a typical teen age girl in all her films. That is how many teen age girls are. If i remember well during my student days many used to emulate Genelia'.

I  have been hearing scripts and  I’m looking in for the best to work. My experience in the shoot of 'Jinn' was more or less like the movie itself. Humour since my co artiste Kali Venkat, Arjunan , Hari [ Madras Jhonny], and Muneesh kanth were basically comedians and they were always into their elements. They are the emerging stars in the comedy circle and 'Jinn' will see their complete talent in combined force. Horror since all the 33 days I was shot on pitch dark chilly nights at a remote place in Ooty. Both the Heroes , The debutant  Rameez raja and  Kalai of 'Madras ' fame were very friendly and cooperative too. The most interesting  episode of this shooting episode was 'Once  i received a call, while i was  in the shooting spot from an unknown number  complaining about tooth ache.  I asked who you are and how do you know my number. The other end was only laughing in a horrifying  tone. when  I persisted  to know more on the actual problem, that voice continued in a shivering tone  'I am not able to bite any body's throat with his tooth .  I am a vampire...blood thirsty vampire' she concluded.

 I  screamed out in fear and ran  here and there.  I was shivering  in fright and  had fever too. Later i realized that it was a prank play by my co actors.  ' Dr. Maya  flashing a infectious smile.  

வைத்தியத்துக்கு வந்த பேய் !!!

சமீப காலமாக பெருகி வரும் பேய் படங்களின் வரிசையில் படம் முடிந்து வெளி வர தயாராகும் நிலையில் உள்ள  படம் 'ஜின்'. நகை சுவை மிளிர சொல்ல படும் ஜின் படத்தில் கதாநாயகியாக அறிமுகமாகிறார் புது முகம் Dr.மாயா . புன்சிரிப்பில் எவரையும் மயக்கும் வல்லமைக் கொண்ட Dr.மாயா ஒரு பல் மருத்துவர் என்பதுக் குறிப்பிட தக்கது. அவர் சார்ந்த தொழில் இருந்து  சினிமா மேல் உள்ள காதலால் 'ஜின்' மூலம் திரைக்கு அறிமுகமாகும் Dr.மாயாவின் வார்த்தைகள்   இதோ.

' எனக்கு இயக்குனர் முருகதாஸின் இயக்கத்தில் நடிக்க வேண்டும் என்பதே பெரிய ஆசை. 'கஜினி' படத்தின் நாயகி கல்பனா போல் ஒரு கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடிக்க மாட்டோமா என்ற ஏக்கம் எனக்குள் இருக்கவே செய்கிறது. அதிலும் எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்தமான சூர்யா சாருடன் ஜோடியாக நடிக்க வேண்டும் என்பதும் கனவு. எனக்கு பிடித்த கதாநாயகி ஜெனிலியாதான். அவர் ஏற்று நடித்த கதா பாத்திரங்கள் இயல்பாகவே  டீன் ஏஜ் இளம் பெண்கள் போலவே இருக்கும். அந்த நடிப்பை அவர் தான் பிரமாதமாக பிரதிபலிக்கிறார்.என் கல்லூரி தோழிகள் பலர் அவரை போலவே நடித்தும் ,நடந்தும்  கொள்வர்.

'ஜின் படத்தை தொடர்ந்து என் அடுத்த படத்துக்காக நான் ஏக பட்ட கதைகள் கேட்டு வருகிறேன். பெயர் வாங்கும் அளவுக்கு பாத்திரம் இருந்தால் நிச்சயம் ஏற்றுக் கொள்வேன். 'ஜின்' படத்தில் என்னுடைய அனுபவங்கள் ஏற தாழ படத்தின் மைய கதையான பேய் கதை போலதான். காளி   வெங்கட் , 'காதலில் சொதப்புவது எப்படி' அர்ஜுனன், முண்டாசு  பட்டி முனீஸ் காந்த்,மெட்ராஸ் ஜானி என்ற வளர்ந்து வரும் நகைசுவை கலைஞர்களுடன் 40 நாட்கள் படப்பிடிப்பு என்றால் எப்படி இருக்கும் . சிரித்து சிரித்து வயிற்று  வலி தான். இவர்களுக்கு சற்றும் சளைத்தவர்கள் இல்லை கதாநாயகர்கள் ரமீஸ் ராஜாவும் , 'மெட்ராஸ்'  கலையும் . தொடர்ந்து 40 நாட்களும் சில்லிடும் இரவுகளில் நாடு காட்டில் படப்பிடிப்பு என்றாலும் , இவர்களின் கலாட்டாவால் படம்  முடிந்ததே தெரியவில்லை.

ஒரு வித்தியாசமான அனுபவம் என்ன வென்றால் , ஒரு நள்ளிரவு படப்பிடிப்பில் இருந்த  போது  ஒரு தெரியாத எண்ணில்  இருந்து அழைப்பு வந்தது. தெரியாத எண் என்பதால் சற்றே தயங்கித்தான் அழைப்புக்கு செவி சாய்த்தேன்.யாராக  இருக்கும் என்று யோசித்துக் கொண்டே பேசினால் நடுங்கும் குரலில் ஒரு பெண். என்ன வென்று விசாரித்தால் எனக்கு பல் வலி , வைத்தியம் பாப்பிங்களா  என்றுக் கேட்டது. என்ன பிரச்சனை  என்றுக் கேட்டேன். நான் ரத்த காட்டேரி , எனக்கு பல் வலி . இதனால் மற்றவர்கள் கழுத்தை கடித்து ரத்தம் குடிக்க இயலவில்லை என்று கேட்டு விட்டு கட கட என சிரிக்க ஆரம்பித்தது. நான் அவ்வளவுதான் , அம்மா ...அப்பா என்று  கத்தி  விட்டேன்.

பயத்தால் காய்ச்சல் வந்தே விட்டது.விளையாட்டுக்கு யாராவது செய்து இருப்பார்கள் என்பது புரிகிறது. ஆனால் அந்த நிமிடத்தில் வந்த பயம் நிச்சயம் மறக்க முடியாதது. அதை செய்தது யார் என்று இன்னமும் தெரிய வில்லை. இனிமேலாவது சொல்கிறார்களா பார்ப்போம் ' என்றார் Dr.மாயா.
