Any word that sounds the same as another word but has a different meaning is called Homophone.
'Ponn' is a thriller based on a play on the Tamil word "Ponn", which means both 'Gold' and 'Woman'. The event of an ambitious robber trying to smuggle 'Ponn' from a house that he over hears, has "Thangam", which is a common name, also meaning gold is well shot by Director Santhosh Krishna.The brilliance in the concept is all around the making too by the young Director.The culture of Bench culture is growing leaps and pounds.
