Amongst all the musical genres that are derived across far-flung corners of the world, ‘Gaana’ possesses an unparalleled uniqueness. Unlike other genres that is based on various instrumentals to embellished a song, ‘Gaana’ actually doesn’t look for electronic organs, but gets beautified with simple naturalistic sounds derived from Tables, bus footboards, roof top of buses, Tiffin box, even the step sounds of shoes and many more. Hailing from this most exotic musical bandwagon, Marana Gaana Viji and Gaana Bala have been amusing our senses with stirring enjoyable tunes. Moreover, for the first time they have crooned for songs from same album ‘Pandiyoda Galatta Thaangala’ composed by music director Sukumar. Both of them haven’t just written lyrics and rendered their voices, but have appeared for the songs as well.
Gaana songs aren’t meant only for the lamentations and human pathos, but it also focalizes on the lifestyle and beautiful moments of life too… He proved his proficiency through such a number through ‘Danga Maari’ in Anegan and has now penned lyrics crooned and appear for a number in this film. The lyrical verses begin with ‘Neeyum Bommai, Naanum Bommai’ (You and me are none but dolls) and the entire song comprises of such magniloquent lines.
The film starring Nithin Sathya and Resha Raja in lead roles is directed by ST Gunasekaran and is produced by Nagashwaran and Manikandan with an interesting bunch of actors – Mayilsamy, Imman Annachi, Manobala, Singam Puli, Yogi Babu and many others all set to entertain us with the theatrical release scheduled on May 13.
