American fantasy drama film “The Jungle Book” is breaking records in India. The Jungle Book directed by Jon Favreau , has collected a whopping amount of Rs. 74 crores in the first week of its run. It has released in many regional languages including Hindi. The film has now recorded the second highest first-week box office collections in India, after Akshay Kumar’s film “Airlift.” The film’s box office collections have been growing each day with a good word of mouth.
Based on author Rudyard Kipling’s eponymous novel, “The Jungle Book”, the film has held very well against the other Hollywood big films that have made their mark in India. In the Hindi version, Priyanka Chopra, Om Puri, Nana Patekar, Irrfan Khan and Shefali Shah have lent their voices to different characters in the film.
