Tapsee awestruck by her debut film director's new film


After winning an award for depiction of Human rights issues in the Venice Film Festival, highly acclaimed director Vetrimaran's 'Visaranai' had its first Asian premiere in the ongoing 17th Mumbai International Film Festival.
The film was screened in the festival recently to thumping response from the festival audience from many corners of the world. The standing ovation while the end credits were rolling on the screen, took a long time to stop.
Interestingly actress Tapsee Pannu who made her Kollywood debut playing the lead role in Vetrimaran's National award winning film 'Aadukalam' caught up her director's new outing in the festival.
The 'Arrambam' actress was awestruck by the film and said she was running short of adjectives to praise the film. She said that the film engages the audience to the extent that one would forget even to take a deep breath.
'Visaranai' starring Dinesh, Murugadoss, Anandhi, Samuthirakani and others is expected to hit the screens for local audience in the month of November.
The film has been produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films and Vetrimaran's Grass Root Film Company. Distribution rights have been acquired by Lycaa Productions.
