By now, Everyone have come to the opinion that 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' has burnt the hands of investors. As the theatrical rights were sold out for Rs 87 crore, The losses could be anywhere around Rs 40 crore for exhibitors and distributors.
Apparently, Eros International which co-produced 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' brought Hindi dubbing rights for Rs 12 crore and spent Rs 4 crore towards promotions. The Hindi version faired badly to cost the makers to the tune of Rs 10 crore. Eros is also the distribution partner of 'Sardaar' in Nizam and Territories where the film performed poorly.
Producers of 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' made table profits amounting to Rs 45 crore. It is being speculated that Pawan Kalyan should share the losses of Eros as per agreement signed before the release. In addition, There might be pressure from Distributors of other areas to compensate the losses. Is Pawan Kalyan in a position to repay such a huge amount?
